Call Meetin~ to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />Economic Development Authority was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Consider 4/9/90 EDA A~enda <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle noted that Item #3 should be deleted and the following <br />items should be added: 10.4, Commissioner Schuldt Update; 10.5, <br />Commissioner Gongoll Update; 10.6, Commissioner Holmgren Update. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 4/9/90 EDA AGENDA AS <br />AMENDED. COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />4. CONSIDER 3/12/90 EDA Minutes <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE MARCH 12, 1990 EDA MINUTES. <br />COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />5. Student Award Presentation <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle stated that in honor of Celebrate Youth Week, which was <br />held during the week of April 2, he has requested names from the <br />schools of outstanding students. Chairman Tralle distributed a <br />certificate of recognition to the following students: Jenny Harms from <br />Handke School; Jenna Stookey from the Elk River Library; Lisa Mlinarcik <br />from the Senior High School; Brent Moritz from the Senior High School; <br />and Davin Hoffard from Lincoln School. <br /> <br />6.1 <br /> <br />Earth Day/Recyclin~ Coordinator <br /> <br />Gary Schmitz, City Recycling Coordinator, informed the EDA that Earth <br />Day would be celebrated on April 22, 1990. Mr. Schmitz stated that in <br />attempting to coordinate activities in Elk River to celebrate Earth Day <br />he has found two sites which need to be cleaned up; one being Orono <br />Park and the other being Lion's Park. He indicated that the <br />surrounding 4-H groups would coordinate their efforts to clean up Orono <br />
