<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />HELD AT THE ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 1990 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Commissioners Tralle, Holmgren, Schuldt, Dobel and <br />Kropuenske <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator; Dick Fursman, Economic <br />Development Coordinator; Lori Johnson, Finance Director; <br />Peter Beck, City Attorney <br /> <br />1. Call Meetin~ to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Economic <br />Development Authority was called to order by Commissioner Tralle at <br />9:37 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider 2/12/90 EDA A~enda <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2/12/90 EDA AGENDA. <br />COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Consider 1/29/90 EDA Minutes <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1/29/90 EDA MINUTES. <br />COMMISSIONER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />4. Consider TIF Plan #7 <br /> <br />Dick Fursman, Economic Development Coordinator, indicated that the Tax <br />Increment Financing Plan #7 has been distributed to the County and <br />School District for comment. He stated that the purpose of the TIF <br />District is to acquire and develop two parcels of land along Highway 10 <br />and to remove structurally substandard buildings in order to create a <br />development site and to make the site available to construct a 42 unit <br />motel in the City. <br /> <br />The Council then considered modifications to Development District #1. <br />Mr. Fursman indicated that some of the modifications to the Development <br />District include some of the plans the City has made in the Growth <br />Management Plan. <br />
