Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />The meeting ,.ras called to o~,der by Com.rnissioner Fox at 7: 33 p.m. <br /> <br />2. r.1inute s <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 27, 1980, Planning Co~mission Meeting were read and <br />approved. <br /> <br />3. P_genda <br /> <br />There were no changes to the agenda. <br /> <br />4. Gerald Santerre, Set-Back Variance <br /> <br />Gerald Santerre was present for the public hearing requesting a set-back variance <br />from side street for an addition to his garage located on Concord and Mississippi <br />Road. The public hearing "ras then opened. 1\10 one ,.rished to speak on this <br />issue. The public hearing was then closed. ~tr. Santerre presented a petition <br />in favor of this proposal signed by his neighbors. He said the addition would <br />be 15 ' by 26' w'i th '\.rindo'\.rs on the street side and \.rould be added to the <br />existing garage. He said he needs the additional space to park a company <br />vehicle. Co~missioner Zabee asked what the side variance would be and if the <br />garage extends out. ~rr. Adolphson said the requirement is 32' and he has 25', <br />so it is a 7' variance and that the garage would be in line with the house. <br />CO~TI~ISSIONER LUCAS MOVED TO RECO~~~ND ft~PROVAL OF TB~ SET-BACK VARIANCE. <br />CO~~ISSIONER ZABEE SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />5. Lloyd P~derson, Proposed Zone Change to 1-1 <br /> <br />~tr. Lloyd Anderson was not present until later in the meeting. ~tr. Carroll <br />Welte, vrho plans to purchase the 3 acres located south of Highway #10 at the <br />intersection with Waco Street (on the west side) was present. He operates <br />Instantop, Inc., vrhich manufacture pickup covers. He said he would propose <br />to put up a pole building or whatever type of building that was required. <br />Co~missioner Fox asked if there was any reason he wanted that particular area <br />as it would require a service road access and that vrould not leave much to <br />build on. tIT. Welte stated he vTould want to maintain a highway location <br />becuase both retail and wholesale would be better, but that vias the only reason. <br />COID~issioner Lucas was opposed to changing the land to industrial. The <br />Commissioner recommended not to change the zoning. <br />
