Call Meeting To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />Park and Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by <br />Chair Dave Anderson. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Consider 12/2/92 Park and Recreation Commission Agenda <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER O'BRIEN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 12/2/92 PARK AND RECREATION <br />COMMISSION AGENDA. COMMISSIONER ANDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Consider 11/4/92 Park and Recreation Commission Minutes <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER O'BRIEN <br />COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />MOVED TO APPROVE THE 11/4/92 PARK AND RECREATION <br />COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br />Dan Heasley, president of Little League Baseball, presented a concept <br />plan to include a four field baseball complex with lighting, dugouts, <br />and a concession stand. Mr. Heasley stated he has been in contact with <br />School District 728 and his proposal is for this development to be <br />constructed on the Salk Junior High Athlethic fields. The complex <br />would include one varsity size, and one junior varsity size field with <br />grass infields and two little league fields with ag-lime infields. <br /> <br />The plan is to start a fundraiser with this spring's registration to <br />add to the $7,500 total from last years fundraiser. The School <br />District has offered to cover the cost of the irrigation system and Mr. <br />Heasley will look to the City for help in layout and grading work. The <br />City would also be asked to "front" the money for the project, <br />approximately $250,000, with the Baseball Association paying it off as <br /> <br />
