COMMISSIONER ST. DENNIS
SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0.

4. Open Mike

Paul and Elvira Fjerstad were present requesting support for the
construction of a BMX bike race course. The Fjerstads questioned if
the City had approximately three acres of property on which the BMX
Club could build a race course.

After a considerable discussion, it was the consensus of the Commission
that the City does not have a suitable site at this time but the BMX
Committee should keep open all communication lines for future support.

5.

Discussion Regarding Funding Assistance for Softball Complex Building

Chair Anderson presented a budget sheet (see attached) for the
construction of a new building at the softball complex. He explained
that it was all done with volunteer labor and that the reason for the
$3,000.00 shortfall was a combination of an extended roof over the
agline bunker, lack of material donations and some miscalculated
estimates. Anderson also suggested that a sum of about $2,000.00 per
year be allocated to capital improvement items from the team dues.
