Call Meetin~ to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />Park and Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by <br />Chair O'Brien. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Consider 3/7/90 Park and Recreation Commission A~enda <br /> <br />Dave Anderson indicated that he would like to talk about use of the <br />railroad trail when the Master Plan was discussed (Agenda Item #5) and <br />Rolfe Anderson stated that he would like to be added to the agenda <br />under Other Business to discuss satellite facilities for the youth <br />recreation programs. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that the agenda was acceptable <br />as amended. <br /> <br />3. Consider 2/7/90 Park and Recreation Commission Minutes <br /> <br />DAVE ANDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2/7/90 PARK AND <br />COMMISSION MINUTES. ROLFE ANDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />RECREATION <br />THE MOT I ON <br /> <br />4. ODen Mike <br /> <br />Representati ves of the local Horseshoe Club were present to discuss <br />wi th the Commission the playing conditions in Orono Park. Four club <br />members were present and Jack Kline was the speaker for the group. <br /> <br />Mr. Kline stated that it was the consensus of the Horseshoe Club that <br />the lighting at the playing area needed to be improved. This is the <br />most significant concern of the club at this time. Mr. Kline stated <br />that the club plays one night per week and that the organized league <br />consists of anywhere from sixteen to twenty four teams. There are <br />three playing members per team. All of the teams are from the Elk <br />River area and the club is a non-profit group but does collect dues to <br />
