Call Meetinq To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River Park and <br />Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Anderson. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Aqenda <br /> <br />Consider 10/8/97 Park & Recreation Commission Aqenda <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER KUESTER MOVED TO APPROVE THE OCTOBER 8, 1997, PARK & <br />RECREATION AGENDA. COMMISSIONER MADSEN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consider Minutes of 9/10/97 Park & Recreation Commission Meeting <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER KUESTER MOVED APPROVAL OF THE SEPTEMBER 10, 1997, PARK AND <br />RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES WITH THE FOLLOWING AMENDMENT: <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT - COMMISSIONER OLSON <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER HUBERTY SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Open Mike <br /> <br />Leesa Gilliam, 11018 196th Avenue, requested an update for the 196th Avenue <br />area residents regarding the Hillside park. Chair Anderson stated the Commission <br />will not be taking any action to make improvements in the park for quite some <br />time. Chair Anderson indicated the residents will be contacted when the <br />Commission is ready to begin discussfons on the park in the future. Commissioner <br />Kuester indicated the park system budget is $25,000 for the entire city, and due to <br />the failure of the referendum, the Commission will be limited for improvements in <br />the park. Chair Anderson noted the developer of Hillside met with the Park and <br />Recreation Commission and discussed including a 2 acre park site as part of the <br />next phase. <br />
