Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />Park and Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by <br />Chair Dave Anderson. <br /> <br />2. Consider 8/18/93 Park and Recreation Commission Agenda <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER OLSON MOVED TO APPROVE <br />COMMISSION AGENDA. COMMISSIONER <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />THE 8/18/93 PARK AND RECREATION <br />DALEIDEN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> <br />3. Consider 7/14/93 Park and Recreation Commission Minutes <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER OLSON MOVED TO APPROVE <br />COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />THE 7/14/93 PARK AND RECREATION <br />DALEIDEN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> <br />4 . Information on Community Center/Ice Arena - Jeff Gongoll <br /> <br />Jeff Gongoll presented information regarding the proposal for a c~v~c <br />center using a plan from the Community Center Task Force, an amended <br />plan that is now under consideration, and an outline of five building <br />components. Jeff Gongoll stated that the goal is to bring thi~ <br />proposal to the voters in the form of a bond referendum at the November <br />General Election. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lipetzky stated his belief that <br />should coordinate this proposal with school <br />proposal with a school facilities study. <br /> <br />the Civic.Center Committee <br />staff and dovetail this <br /> <br />Jeff Gongoll addressed the parking issue stating <br />parking shown on the plan is not adequate to handle a <br /> <br />that the on-site <br />2,500 seat area <br />
