<br />. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Elk River Planning Commission <br />Held at the Elk River Public Library <br />Tuesday, September 23, 1986 <br /> <br />Members Present: Chairman Wilson, Commissioners Fuchs, Barrett <br />Kropuenske, Temple and Morton <br /> <br />Members Absent: None <br /> <br />Staff Present: Stephen Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Wilson. <br /> <br />2. Consideration of 9/23/86 Agenda. <br /> <br />Item 12a. - Mobile sales office, and Item 12b. - Public Hearing date for <br />RDF were added to the September 23, 1986 Planning Commission agenda. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER BARRETT <br />COMMISSION AGENDA AS <br />THE MOTION PASSED 6-0~ <br /> <br />MOVED TO <br />AMENDED . <br /> <br />APPROVE THE SEPTEMBER 23, 1986 PLANNING <br />COMMISSIONER FUCHS SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />3. Consideration of 8/26/86 Planning Commission Minutes <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER FUCHS <br />COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />MOVED TO APPROVE THE AUGUST 26, 1986 <br />COMMISSIONER MORTON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />PLANNING <br />THE MOTION <br /> <br />4. Conditional Use Permit for Ralph Allision/P.H. <br /> <br />Mr. Ralph Allison of 21380 Vernon Street explained his request for an <br />agricultural building to be used as a horse barn in a platted area. Mr. <br />A11ision stated that the building would have 8 ft. walls and will look <br />like a garage, with painted siding to match their existing residence. He <br />further stated that the proposed building will be 190 ft. from one of his <br />closest neighbors and 230 ft. from the other. <br /> <br />Chairman <br />opposition <br /> <br />Wilson opened the <br />of the request. <br /> <br />public hearing. No one appeared for or in <br />Chairman Wilson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fuchs questioned Mr. Allison as to the number of acres he <br />had, and also the number of horses he planned to have. Mr. Allison stated <br />that he has 7.5 acres and has two horses at the present time, but is <br />requesting that he be allowed two to four horses. <br /> <br />COMMI SSIONER BARRETT MOVED TO RECOMMEND THAT THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVE THE <br />REQUEST AS PRESENTED BY MR. RALPH ALLISON FOR AN AGRICULTURAL BUILDING IN <br />A PLATTED AREA. COMMISSIONER FUCHS . SECONDED THE MOTION. THEMOTION <br />PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />. <br />
