The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Tralle. <br /> <br />2. Consider Agenda for April 22. 1986 Planning Commission Meeting <br /> <br />Chairman Tra1le added Item 3.5 Landfill to the April 22, 1986 Agenda. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER MERRICK MOVED <br />AMENDED. COMMISSIONER FUCHS <br /> <br />TO APPROVE THE APRIL <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />22. 1986 AGENDA AS <br />THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Consider Minutes of the March 25, 1986 Planning Commission Meeting <br /> <br />The following corrections to the March 25, 1986 Planning Commission <br />Minutes were noted. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fuchs noted that on Page 4, Item 9 motion should be revised <br />to read "THIS WOULD INCLUDE 180 SQUARE FEET FREE STANDING SIGNS ON POST IN <br />FRONT OF BUILDING AND TWO 60 SQUARE FEET SIGNS ON THE BUILDING FOR A TOTAL <br />OF 300 SQUARE FEET." Commissioner Fuchs also noted that Item 10 motion <br />should be revised to read "47 FOOT ENCROACHMENT."Commissioner Fuchs also <br />noted that Item 11, the motion be revised to show A 32.5 ENCROACHMENT ON <br />THE REQUIRED 50 FOOT FRONT SETBACK." Chairman Tra1le indicated on Page 4, <br />first paragraph, the word "myself" be revised to read "himself". <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER FUCHS MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES AS AMENDED. COMMISSIONER · <br />MERRICK SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />3.5 Landfill <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle indicated that Mr. Kreger of the Elk River Landfill wishes <br />to construct a new dump site with a request that the City and County waive <br />45% of the landfill tax for approximately 8 months. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Planning <br />proceed with utmost caution regarding <br />Resolution be drafted regarding this tax. <br /> <br />Commission that the City Council <br />the landfill tax and that a <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER FUCHS MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE THE <br />FUNDS TO CONSTRUCT A NEW DUMPING SITE WITH A SYNTHETIC LINER AND AID <br />COLLECTION SYSTEM. COMMISSIONER MERRICK SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 5-0. <br />
