FEBRUARY 24. 1987 <br /> <br />Members Present: Chairman Wilson. Commissioners Kropuenske. Fuchs. <br />Temple. Kimball. and Barrett. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Morton <br /> <br />Staff Present: Stephen Rohlf. Building and Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Wilson. <br /> <br />2. Consideration of 2/24/87 Planning Commission Agenda <br /> <br />Commissioner Kropuenske mentioned the possibility of setting a meeting <br />deadline time and possibly holding more than one meeting a month. It was <br />decided that this would be added to the agenda as item #17.5. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER BARRETT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2/24/87 PLANNING COMMISSION <br />AGENDA AS AMENDED. COMMISSIONER FUCHS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />3. Consideration of 12/30/86 Planning Commission Minutes <br /> <br />It was <br />minutes. <br />added. <br /> <br />noted <br />which <br /> <br />that <br />had <br /> <br />the site plan from the 12/30/86 Planning Commission <br />been missing. at the 1/27/87 meeting had been <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER TEMPLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 12/30/86 PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES. COMMI SSIONER FUCHS SECONDED THE 'MOTION . THE MOTION CARRIED 6- <br />, <br />o. <br /> <br />4. Consideration of 1/27/87 Planning Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Commissioner Kimball noted that under Item #6 of the 1/27/87 Planning <br />Commission minutes. no one was given credit for seconding the motion. <br />Kimball stated that he seconded the motion. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER TEMPLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1/27/87 PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES AS CORRECTED. . COMMISSIONER KIMBALL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Consideration of Zone Change by Standard Lumber <br /> <br />Tom Wise was present to represent Standard Lumber of 728 Railroad Drive. <br />Elk River. Minnesota. Standard Lumber made a request to change Lot 4. <br />Block 10 Village of Elk River. currently zoned C-4/service commercial. to <br />I-1/light industrial. Mr. Wise stated that Standard Lumber agreed to put <br />up a cedar fence to enclose the area or build a building for storing <br />materials. The building would be painted steel or other type if <br />requested by City. <br />
