BLOCK 10. VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER OWNED <br />BY STANDARD LUMBER FROM C4 SERVICE COMMERCIAL TO 1-1 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL~ <br />COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION. CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />6. Consideration of Variance Request by Standard Lumber <br /> <br />Tom Wise was present on behalf of Standard Lumber to request a variance <br />be granted on Lot 4, Block 10, Village of Elk River to provide a 45 foot <br />encroachment on the 50 foot front yard setback requirement in a light <br />industrial zone on the north lot line along 4th street and a 10 foot <br />encroachment on the 25 foot setback along the east line of Lot 4, Block <br />10, Village of Elk River. <br /> <br />Wise explained that his would put the new steel structure in line with <br />others on the block and would enable Standard Lumber to utilize the back <br />portion of the lot to load and unload trucks. Mr. Wise also stated that <br />Standard Lumber would continue with a chain link fence on the north line <br />and would put up a cedar fence on the east line. <br /> <br />The public hearing was opened. BLOCK 10. VILLAGE OF ELK <br />RIVER. COMMISSIONER KIMBALL. AMENDED THE MOTION TO INCLUDE THE <br />REQUIREMENT OF A CEDAR FENCE ONTRE EAST PROPERTY LINE. COMMISSIONER <br />FUCHS SECONDED. THE MOTION. THE . MOTION CARRIED 6-0.. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Consideration of Conditional Use Permit by Ann Bergstrom <br /> <br />Mrs. Ann Bergstrom of 19263 Lowell Street. Elk River, Minesota. was <br />present to request expanding her current conditional use permit (Home <br />Occupation--Beauty Shop) to add more square footage by removing an <br />interior wall. and to add an additional sytling station and one employee. <br /> <br />Chairman Wilson opened the public hearing. No one appeared for or <br />against the expansion of the conditional use permit. Chairman Wilson <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Stephen Rohlf stated that the only concern of the staff would be the <br />additional parking with an added styling station.
