<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE CONTINUED ELK RIVER PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MEETING HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br />OCTOBER 5, 1988 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairman Kropuenske, Commissioners Morton <br />Fuchs, Olsen, Schroeder, Kimball and Johnson <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Stephen Rohlf, B & Z Administrator and Steven Bjork, <br />Zoning Assistant <br /> <br />1. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />Planning Commission was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Reconviened public hearing at 7:01 for CHW properties request for <br />multiple principle buildings. <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, B & Z Administrator, gave a brief overview of the project. <br /> <br />Ron Johnson of <br />would overload <br />Main Street. <br /> <br />520 3rd Street stated he was concerned that the project <br />the schools and increase the traffic on Gates Avenue and <br /> <br />Blaze Kra1jic questioned the traffic count numbers. Also requested a <br />clarification of the project. <br /> <br />, <br />Don Welter (CHW Properties) explained the concept of the project. <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf explained the proposed changes for the site: <br /> <br />Remove northern access onto Gates <br />Provide screening near A1 Hoppert's property <br />No parking will be allowed on Gates Avenue <br />Remove building No. 6 <br />Install sidewalks along Gates and Evans <br />Move buildings No. 3 and No. 4 to the west <br />Provide berming along Gates Avenue <br />Provide screening along Evans Avenue <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf commented on statements from two individuals who could not <br />attend the meeting: <br /> <br />Bernice Pipenhagen stated that she was concerned with the speed on <br />Gates and she was opposed to a sidwa1k on her property. <br /> <br />A1 Hoppert stated that he was concerned about headlights shining on <br />his property and wanted to know what was going to be done about his <br />sheds on the proposed building etc. <br />
