i <br /> Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Troy Adams, P.E. —General Manager <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> May 14, 2019 6.1a <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency(MMPA) met on April <br /> 23, 2019 at the Agency's Faribault Energy Park power plant in Faribault, Minnesota. <br /> Both Commissioner Al Nadeau and I were able to attend. <br /> The Board approved MMPA's 2018 audit report. The report can be found on MMPA's <br /> website at http://www.mmpa.org/about/financials-reports/ <br /> The Board also approved an Amended and Restated Revolving Credit Agreement with <br /> US Bank. This agreement extends MMPA's $20 million credit facility for another three <br /> years. <br /> The Board discussed the status of the renewable projects the Agency is pursuing. <br /> The revised Minnesota Interconnection Process for distributed energy resources was <br /> discussed. MMPA passed a motion requesting that each MMPA member's governing <br /> body approve two resolutions on this subject before June 17, 2019. <br /> Participation in MMPA's residential Clean Energy Choice program increased over March, <br /> with a market penetration that is now at 3.1%. <br /> • I have been working with Mark Fritsch from Current Compass on data needed for the <br /> management pay group benchmarking. When completed, the report will be reviewed by <br /> the Wage & Benefits Committee.The committee will then bring an update to the <br /> commission at a future meeting. <br /> • Our next regular schedule commission meeting is Tuesday,June 11.
