An electronic survey will be <br /> sent to the commission early June. The data will be complied and provided in a report in <br /> the July commission packet. <br /> • On May 8 the city's and ERMU's managers held our annual employee breakfast as a way <br /> to thank our employees for all that they do.The event was held at Lions Park. The direct <br /> expenses related to food are paid for by the managers. And, the managers prepare and <br /> then serve the food.The event was well attended. <br /> • The Kansas Municipal Utilities (KMU), Kansas' equivalent to MMUA, had requested that I <br /> speak at their annual conference regarding ERMU's challenges with lineworker turnover <br /> and the competitive job market in the Twin Cities metro. Their annual conference was <br /> May 8-10. My flight arrives on May 9, the presentation and return flight are May 10. All <br /> expenses for the trip are covered by KMU. <br /> • The new downtown street lights have been ordered and installation with start early this <br /> summer. <br /> • Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association (MMUA) has a practice of utilizing past board <br /> members to facilitate their strategic planning sessions.The strategic planning sessions <br /> are held every few years.
