He reported that the <br />PL99 Program offers assistance to qualified communities who desire protection <br />against the 1969 spring flood threat. <br /> <br />A motion was made by' Hudson and seconded by McRae, to anchor poles along the <br />north bank of the river from the bric;ige do'tolll river to protect the sewer manhole <br />and prevent further eroision. Motion carried. <br /> <br />At 8:00 pm; the assessment hearing on the 1968 Sanitary Sewer project convened" <br />presided over by William Mills, with Larry Morrell and. Kemall Houlton present. <br />No objections were voiced by those in attendance. <br /> <br />, A motion 'Was made gy McRae and secalded by Hudson" to accept the 1968 sanitary <br />sewer assessment roll as ca1cula1;.ed by the Village Engineer; and to certify <br />them to the County Auditor for collection through the annual taxes over a 10 <br />.year term, the interest on th~ unpaid balance to be 6% to start acrl1ing March <br />17, 1969 ~ Motion carrieq. ,unaminously. <br /> <br />Assessment Hearing adjourned. <br /> <br />At 8:30 ~, the meeting was called open to Public Hearing on the proposed <br />sanitary 'sewer'and watermain extensions on School Street from Holt Avenue to <br />Gates Avenue, with Stan Guth of Builders Land Co., present. Guth voiced no <br />objections to the improvements, and reported that he wants the watermain and <br />sanitary sewer extended on Gates Avenue from School Street to 8th Street. He <br />would waive Public Hearing notifica.tion if the Village wants to incorporate <br />this project with the proposed project under Public Hearing. The Village <br />Attorney will be contacted to write up a. legal document for Builders Land Co. <br />
