<br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />June 3, 1974 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />The Regular Semi-Monthly meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Lundberg on June 3, 1974 at 7:30 PM. in the Council Chambers of the City Office Bldg. <br />Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Hudson, Burke, & Syring. <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 20, 1974 meeting were reviewed the following correction were made <br />as follows: The spelling of Father Haupts name, Changed the population figure that read <br />681 to 624. <br /> <br />Add the following motions: Moved by Councilmembers Syring and seconded by Councilmember <br />Burke accepting and approving the reorganization plan for the Street Dept. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Cooper and seconded by Councilmember Syring on the purchase of a small <br />hand push mower for the park dept. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Burke and seconded by Councilmember Cooper adopting the policy that al <br />City vehicles are not to be used for any other than official City business~ Motion unanimous <br />carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Burke authorizing the Police Dept <br />to add additional patrolmen for the 4th of July Celebration. Motion unanimously carried by <br />a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />No further corrections or additions the minutes were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson adn seconded by Councilmember Burke approving the minutes of <br />the Board of Review and action taken. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the minutes on the Highway Dept. public meeting. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Burke and seconded by Councilmember Hudson to accept the change order <br />on the Library Bldg, Project as submitted totaling $8,805.00 reduction. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg declared the Public Hearing for School View 1st Addition and Industrial Park <br />on the address change open at 8:00 PM. <br /> <br />Three citizens from School View 1st Addition were in attendance and Dick Go~ll representing <br />the Elk River Investors Association. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Burke adopting the lot number <br />changes but the street names will remain the same as originally platted for the Industral <br />Park. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. A cop,y of the referrance ordinance is <br />attached. <br /> <br />The Clerk was instructed to send letters to all property owners notifing each of them, <br />their new address change. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Burke adopting the lot numbering <br />and street naming changes for School View 1st Addition. Motion unanimously carried by a vote <br />of 3-0. A copy of the referrance ordinance is attached. <br /> <br />The Clerk was instructed to draft a letter to Marvin George regarding the paving of the <br />Streets in School View 1st Addtion. <br />
