<br />"..- <br /> <br />Mr. McCombs-Knutson City Engineering Firm met with the Council on submitting for review the <br />preliminary engineering report for the proposed street improvements in the City for 1974. <br /> <br />The Improvements Committee will review the report and make there report at the next . <br />regular scheduled council meeting June 17, 1974. <br /> <br />Councilmember Syring in attendance. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Burke calling for a public <br />hearing as the proposed 74 Improvements to be schedule for July 1, 1974 at 8:00 PM. and <br />authori~ing and instruct the Clerk to advertize in the Sherburne County Star News of the <br />hearing and notify all property owners involved also call for the plans and specifications <br />for this improvement to be prepared by McCombs-Knutson Associates. Motio~ unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Co.uncilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson authori~ing the City <br />Attorney John MacGibbon the authority to negotiate with Bob Olson's attorney Mr. <br />Connelly for his resignation on or before 12/31/74. Motion unanimously carried by a vote <br />of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Burke and seconded by Councilmember Syring, to install a stop sign at <br />the intersection of School Street and Holt, a stop sign to the eastbound traffic. Motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 3 yes and on!abstained. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg reviewed for the Council some of the new 74 laws that would give the <br />City additional assessing powers if needed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Burke to approve the payments <br />~~he General Government bills as listed. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of . <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Syring gave a short report on the Finance Committee and also the Insurance <br />Annual Meeting. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Burke authorizing the expenditure <br />of $120.00 to Cheif of Police Bob Olson for expenses to attend this years 74 League of <br />Municipalities Convention to held in Duluth June 13th, 14th and 15th. Motion carried by a <br />vote of 3-1 vote as follows.: Councilmembers Syring, Burke and Hudson yes Mayor Lundberg <br />voting no. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned <br /> <br /> <br />. <br />
