<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />February 19, 1974 at 8:00 PM. <br /> <br />The Regular Semi-Monthly meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Lundberg on February 19, 1974 at 8:00 PM. in the Council Chambers of the City Office <br />Bldg. Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Cooper, Syring and <br />Burke. <br /> <br />As there were no additions or corrections to the minutes of the February 4, 1974 meeting <br />they were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Dave Hofstad member of the Sherburne County Sheriff's Dept met with Council request the <br />City Council to adopt a resolution for the acquisition and development of a joint record- <br />keeping system for the Police Depts of Elk River, Big Lake, and Zimmerman with the <br />Sherburne County Sheriff's Dept. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Cooper and seconded by Councilmember Burke to adopt the resolution <br />To apply for a Federal assistance grant for the acquisition and development of a joint <br />record-keeping system for the Police Departments. A copy of the resolution is attached. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Burke approving and granting <br />the issuance of a Set-Up Permit to Milo Peirson for the Milos Main Tap Club. Motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br />(./ <br />Engineer Lyle Swanson presented the addendum to the Preliminary Engineering report for the <br />construction of well and iron removal plant and watermains and sanitary sewer extension <br />for School View First Addition prepared by McCombs-Knutson Associates, Inc. dated February <br />74 for Councils review. Mot~on unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Rex Oetinger, Zoning and Building Inspector met with the Council and requested that he be <br />paid $7.00 per hour for his services that are not covered by the Building permit fee thu~ <br />being other than regular on-site inspections. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Cooper and seconded by Coucilmember Syring authorizing the payment <br />of $7.00 per hour to Rex Oetinger, Zoning & Building Inspector for the City of Elk River <br />for duties preformed over and above the regular on-site inspections to be reviewed again <br />at the end of two months, each payment request to be accompieci by a schedule of dates, <br />time worked and on what. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Oetinger was instructed to review the permit fee schedule to see if they are in need of <br />revisions. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Cooper to proceed with the <br />printing of the City Code as recommended byJohn MacGibbon, City Attorney and further <br />authorize the Mayor to review the Code for final approval prior to printing. Motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Mayor Lundberg and seconded by Councilmember Cooper authorizing Councilmember <br />Syring to draft a letter to the postal department regarding the placement of the drop <br />boxes and. the Cities intent for the 74 Street Improvements for that area around the <br />Post Office letter is to be drafted for the Clerks signature. Motion unanimously carried <br /> <br />by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Burke to accept UPA blanket <br />
