<br />o <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-I>10NTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />June 19, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: Mayor Madsen, Councilmembers Toth, Otto and Engstrom. <br /> <br />Members absent: Councilmember Duitsman. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Councilmember Engstrom approving <br />the minutes of the regular meeting of June 5, 1978 with the following corrections. <br />Second page paragraph twelve the v.TOro. application should be permit. Third <br />. page paragraph five the word except should be accept. The minutes then were <br />approved as corrected. Motion unanimousily carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Engstrom approving <br />the renewal issuance of a On-Sale Liquor License to Richard Dorsey, "Dicks <br />Main Tap" for a period of one year, July 1, 1978 to June 30, 1979. Motion <br />unanimousily carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Councilmember otto approving the <br />issuance of a On-Sale Liquor Lice~se to James Hummel "Wills Place" for a period <br />of one year, July 1, 1978 to June 30, 1979. Motion unanimousily carried by a <br />vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Phil Sayles, representing Elk River J.C's for approval of a 3.2 Beer License <br />for the 4th of July celebration at Orono Park. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Councilmember otto approving the <br />3.2 beer license for the 4th of July, with the condition that it be approved <br />by the Chief of Police. Motion unanimousily carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmembei',Otto and seconded it by Councilmember Engstrom to <br />approve the fire vTorks display with the condition that it be approved by <br />the Fire Chief. I~otion unanimousily carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Ron Markem r$presenting Sherburne County Lions Club for approval of a <br />3.2 Beer license for the Sherburne ,County Fair. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Toth approving <br />the 3.2 Beer License with the condition that it be approved by the Chief of <br />Police. Motion unanimousily carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Chuck Christian met with the Council on the width on easement Roads (section <br />14 & 15). He just vlanted to let the Council knmv that he has taken care of <br />it ~Qth Anoka Electric, which he was asked to take care of at an earlier <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Toth made a recommendation to the Council that they approve <br />purchasing Ken Nelsons trailer which the city has been using for some time <br />at the price of $250.00. <br />
