The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Hinkle. <br /> <br />2. Agenda <br /> <br />Item 4~ - The East Main Street Project, Item 9~ - The Watermain Feasibility Study, <br />Item 11 - Administrator's Update (C) Planning Commission Public Hearings, (D) Barthel <br />Planned Unit Development, (E) The Audit Report, and (F) Prairie House; were items <br />added to the June 18, 1984 City Council agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE JUNE 18, 1984 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS <br />AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />3. Minutes of May 14 and June 4 City Council Meetings <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF', THE MAY 14, 1984 CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOnON. THE MOTION PASSED <br />3,...0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 4, 1984 CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED <br />3,...0, <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br />Mr. Phil Hals, Street Superintenderit, presented the City Council with souvenirs <br />from the old 101 brigde and indiqated to the City Council that he has taken <br />delivery on the pickup truck from Cloverleaf Motors. <br /> <br />4~. Ron Black ,... Piwowar Property <br /> <br />Mr. Ron Black indicated that at the April 23td City Council Meeting, the City <br />Council authorized him to prepare an order for removal of the burned out house <br />on Tipton Avenue owned by Mr. Piwowar. Mr. Black indicated that Mr. Piwowar did <br />not respond to the action and therefore, it was placed on the court default <br />calendar for consideration. Mr. Black indicated that Mr. Piwowar has now <br />contacted Mr. Ron Black and they have worked out an agreement whereby Mr. Piwowar <br />will have the building torn down by June 30 or the City Council can order the <br />demolition of the building and bill the cost to Mr. Piwowar. Mr. Black indicated <br />that Mr. Piwowar has agreed to pay the City $650.00 for costs incurred by the <br />City in the process. Mr. Black indicated that Mr. Piwowar wants to salvage some <br />of the lumber for use in a new building and for burning for heat. Mr. Ron Black <br />indicated that the agreement states that the property should be kept neat and <br />organized regarding the stored lumber and wood. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt indicated that more work has been done in the last week <br />than the last year and wants the City to be sure that the building is down by <br />June 30. Councilmember Engstrom indicated that he was glad the City Council <br />took the action they did in purs~ing the demolition of the building. <br />I <br />
