e e e REGULAR MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2. 1987 Members Present: Mayor Gunkel. Councilmembers Tralle. Dobel. Holmgren. and Schuldt. (Councilmember Schuldt arrived at 7:15 p.m.) Staff Present: Pat Klaers. City Administrator; Stephen Rohlf. Building and Zoning Administrator; Peter Beck. Assistant City Attorney; and Phil Hals. Street Superintendent 1. The meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Gunkel. 2. Economic Development Commission Interviews TWo additional people were interviewed by the City Council for the three (3) vacant positions on the Economic Development Commission: Dr. Nick Olson and John Kuester. The Council decided to make EDC appointments at the end of the meeting under "other business." 3. Consideration of 2/2/87 Agenda Under "other business." the following items were added to the agenda: Discussion on Elected Officials Conference. Economic Development Commission Appointments. Softball Fields and Parks; and item 9.4. Library Resolution. was moved to 7.3. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ACCEPT THE 2/2/87 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. 4 & 5. Consider 1/10/87 Joint Planning Commission/City Council Meeting Minutes and Minutes of the 1/26/87 City Council Meeting cOUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1/10/87 JOINT PLANNING COMMISSION/CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES AND MINUTES OF THE 1/26/87 CITY COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. 6. Open Mike There were no individuals present to address the City Council under Open Mike. 7.1.Proclamation - Heart Month Bob Hageseth read the Proclamation of the American Heart Association and was then photographed with Mayor Gunkel as she signed the proclamation.
