Councilmembers Tralle. Dobel. Holmgren. <br />and Schuldt. (Councilmember Schuldt arrived at 7:15 p.m.) <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Pat Klaers. City Administrator; Stephen Rohlf. Building <br />and Zoning Administrator; Peter Beck. Assistant City <br />Attorney; and Phil Hals. Street Superintendent <br /> <br />1. The meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />by Mayor Gunkel. <br /> <br />2. Economic Development Commission Interviews <br /> <br />TWo additional people were interviewed by the City Council for the three <br />(3) vacant positions on the Economic Development Commission: Dr. Nick <br />Olson and John Kuester. <br /> <br />The Council decided to make EDC appointments at the end of the meeting <br />under "other business." <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consideration of 2/2/87 Agenda <br /> <br />Under "other business." the following items were added to the agenda: <br />Discussion on Elected Officials Conference. Economic Development <br />Commission Appointments. Softball Fields and Parks; and item 9.4. Library <br />Resolution. was moved to 7.3. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ACCEPT THE 2/2/87 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS <br />AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED <br />5-0. <br /> <br />4 & 5. Consider 1/10/87 Joint Planning Commission/City Council Meeting <br />Minutes and Minutes of the 1/26/87 City Council Meeting <br /> <br />cOUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1/10/87 JOINT PLANNING <br />COMMISSION/CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES AND MINUTES OF THE 1/26/87 CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />6. Open Mike <br /> <br />There were no individuals present to address the City Council under Open <br />Mike. <br /> <br />7.1.Proclamation - Heart Month <br /> <br />Bob Hageseth read the Proclamation of the American Heart Association and <br />was then photographed with Mayor Gunkel as she signed the proclamation. <br />
