Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Vice Mayor Schuldt. <br /> <br />2. Consider 6/5/89 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />COUNCILMBMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 6/5/89 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA. <br />COtJNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />3.1 Consider 5/10/89 Board of Equalization Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMlMBER DOBEt. MOVED TO APPROVE THE 5/10/89 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION <br />MINUTES. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 3-0. Councilmember Holmgren abstained. <br /> <br />3.2 <br /> <br />Consider 5/22/89 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />COtJNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 5/22/89 CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br />4-0. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Open Mike <br /> <br />4.1 Chamber of Commerce Request <br />Jackie Schuelein. Executive Vice President of the Chamber of <br />Commerce, requested Council consideration of utilizing the downtown <br />Jackson Square Park and parking lot on August 26. and 27. She <br />indicated that the Kelley Farm. in conjunction with the Chamber of <br />Commerce, is sponsoring a Frontier Business Days event. Ms. <br />Schuelein stated that she is requesting the use of the parking lot <br />area and indicated to the Council that the event would take place <br />after business hours from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO ALLOW THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO USE <br />JACKSON SQUARE PARK INCLUDING THE PARKING AREA, ON AUGUST 26, AND <br />27. FOR FRONTIER BUSINESS DAYS EVENTS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7: 00 AND <br />9: 00 P. M. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4.2 Temporary Liquor License/Chamber of Commerce <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the Chamber of <br />Commerce has applied for an on sale non-intoxicating malt liquor <br />license. He indicated that the request is for a temporary license <br />for July 3rd and 4th and that the Chamber would be selling 3.2 beer <br />at Orono Park in conjunction with the 4th of July celebration. <br />
