He indicated that <br />.Jeff Asfahl has been hi red by the Sehool District as the new Recreation <br />Coordinator. He stated that the position is jointly funded by Elk <br />Ri ver and nei ghboring communi ties to enhance recreation opportunities <br />within the area. <br /> <br />Jeff Asfahl thanked the Counei 1 for the opportunity to work as the <br />Recreation Coordinator for the area and for the City of Elk River. He <br />statp.d he was excited about the job and felt that his main <br />respoTlsibil Hies at the beginning would he to keep programs running <br />smoothly, to provide mrll'e organization and less confusion for ongoing <br />programs and also to provide more recreation opporblnities to the <br />residents in Elk River and the neighhoring communitieR. <br />
