Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Eric Volk—Water Superintendent <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> October 10, 2017 5.6 <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Jackson Street Water Tower Rehabilitation Update <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: <br /> Zack Carlton, City Planner, has been working with Kodet Architectural Group to develop an <br /> estimate for the Jackson Street Water Tower reconditioning. Zack has received the estimate for <br /> the reconditioning(see attached). Zack, along with Kodet Architectural Group,will be applying <br /> for a grant which will fund all of the architectural drawings for the tower reconditioning. The <br /> grant needs to be submitted by October 13, 2017. If the grant is awarded, notification will take <br /> place within eight weeks of the due date. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br /> The project will have future impacts to the water department reserves; the dollar amount is yet to <br /> be determined. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> • Proposal -Kodet Architectural Group - Jackson Street Water Tower Condition <br /> Assessment 2015-2018 <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> 85 <br />
