Call Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the meeting of the Elk River Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Anderson. <br /> 2. Consider 03/09/17 Agenda <br /> Chair Anderson added Item 5.2 Eagle Scout Project Presentation <br /> Moved by Commissioner Sagan and seconded by Commissioner Ahlness to <br /> III approve the March 9,2017 as amended, Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> meeting agenda with added item 5.2. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> 3.1 Consider 02/08/17 Regular PRC Minutes <br /> Moved by Commissioner Kallemeyn and seconded by Commissioner <br /> Niziolek to approve the following February 8,2017 Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission Minutes. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> 4. Open Forum-None <br /> 5.1 William H. Houlton Conservation Area Buckthorn Removal <br /> Elk River High School student Ashley Nething presented to the commission a recent <br /> volunteer event where more than 40 volunteers along with the Friends of the <br /> Mississippi River assisted staff in removing invasive species buckthorn on Saturday, <br /> February 25, 2017. <br /> 5.2 Paul Andraesen Eagle Scout Project <br /> Eagle Scout Paul Andraesen presented to the commission the project he will be <br /> doing at the Great Northern Trail observation deck. Mr.Andraesen shared he will <br /> O improve the access trail upward by building steps going up about 30 feet towards the <br /> observation deck. <br />
