CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Public Library <br /> Board was called to order at 5:00 PM by Jayne Dietz. New member Britt Aamodt <br /> sworn in by Jayne Dietz. <br /> 2. CONSIDER AGENDA <br /> Sarah Holmgren MOVED and Mary Eberley SECONDED to approve Agenda, Motion <br /> Passed 5 to 0. <br /> 3. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 3.1 Secretary's Report <br /> ■ January 20, 2015, Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> 3.2 Treasurer's Report <br /> • January & February 2015, Revenue & Expense Reports <br /> tMaryEberly MOVED and Sarah Holmgren SECONDED to approve Agenda. Motion <br /> Passed 5 to 0. <br /> 4. OPEN FORUM: No residents or guests. <br /> 5. VISITORS <br /> 5.1 Michael Hecker, City Parks and Recreation Director. Michael addressed the <br /> pavers that need to be replaced in the front entrance to the library and the turnaround. <br /> 5.2 Rodney Schreifels, City Park Maintenance Supervisor. Rodney brought <br /> estimates from 3 companies to repair the front entrance and the turnaround that currently <br /> have pavers. The estimates were for concrete, asphalt, and pavers. Rodney's preference <br /> between the 3 companies was ACI. <br /> Mary Eberley MOVED to replace turnaround with asphalt, Jayne Dietz SECONDED, motion <br /> passed 5 to 0. <br /> Mary Eberley MOVED to use ACI to do the asphalt work, at a bid of$10,760.00, Sarah <br /> Holmgren SECONDED, motion passed 5 to 0. <br /> Mary Eberley MOVED to replaced front entrance with concrete, Sarah Holmgren <br /> SECONDED, motion passed 5 to 0. <br /> Mary Eberley MOVED to use Art of Concrete to do the concrete work, at a bid of$7,260.00, <br /> Jayne Dietz SECONDED, motion passed 5 to 0. <br /> 5.3 Rodney also brought an estimate of$8,960.00 from Schmidt Curb Company to <br /> replace the curb bumpers in the parking lot with standard curbs with curb cuts to allow <br /> drainage. Mary Eberley MOVED to replace curb bumpers with a company chosen by <br /> Rodney, at a cost not to exceed $7,000.00. Rodney to get a second bid. Jayne Dietz <br /> SECONDED, motion passed 5 to 0. <br /> 5.4 Rodney recommended replacing four trees on the south side of the parking lot. <br /> March 24, 2015 Page 1 <br />
