ITEM # 7. <br /> • <br /> City of <br /> Elk -�-� <br /> River <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Economic Development Authority <br /> FROM: Catherine Mehelich, Director of Economic Development <br /> DATE: June 13, 2005 <br /> SUBJECT: Consider Calling Special EDA Meeting for July I I, 2005 <br /> Attachment <br /> • Memo to Council re: Development of City-owned Cargill Land, May 16, 2005 <br /> Background <br /> A development schedule was drafted in follow up to the November 2004 EDA and Council <br /> • direction to proceed with plans for the development of the city-owned Cargill land. At its <br /> May 16th meeting the Council reviewed the attached development schedule and directed staff <br /> to proceed. One of the first steps includes the EDA,Planning Commission and Council <br /> review of concept options for the development of the property including land use and <br /> transportation issues. The Planning Department has prepared a number of concept options <br /> for discussion at the July 11th City Council work session. The EDA is invited to attend to <br /> provide feedback on the development concepts. <br /> Requested Action <br /> Staff recommends that the EDA call a special meeting for July 11, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. for the <br /> purpose of a joint work session with the City Council to discuss development concept <br /> options for the city-owned Cargill property. <br /> • <br />
