ITEM #6. <br /> City of <br /> Elk -�-� <br /> River <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Economic Development Authority <br /> FROM: Catherine Mehelich, Director of Economic Development <br /> DATE: March 14, 2005 <br /> SUBJECT: Consider Proposals for EDA Brown Property Development <br /> Attachments <br /> • EDA Request-for-Proposals dated February 2, 2005. <br /> • Memo from Sid Inman, Ehlers &Associates dated March 14, 2005. <br /> • Development Proposal Analysis, March 14, 2005. <br /> • Proposal—Duke Realty <br /> • Proposal—Amcon <br /> Background <br /> At its December 2004 meeting the EDA directed staff to work with Ehlers &Associates in <br /> developing a request-for-proposals that would be sent to interested developers for the EDA <br /> Brown Property. In January 2005 the EDA provided feedback to staff on the attached <br /> request for proposals and conceptual layout for the property. <br /> RFP materials were prepared and mailed to 20 developers and brokers in early February. <br /> The deadline for proposal submissions was March 1. Development proposals were received <br /> from Duke Realty and Amcon. <br /> Analysis <br /> Ehlers and staff reviewed the proposals and have provided a side by side comparison for <br /> discussion at the EDA meeting. <br /> Issues to Consider <br /> Development Proposals <br /> The attached memo from Sid Inman, Ehlers &Associates summarizes the results of the <br /> RFP process as it relates to the EDA's goals and objectives for the development.
