Call Meeting To Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Housing and <br /> Redevelopment Authority was called to order at 6:15 p.m. by Chair Schuldt. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER HINKLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/25/97 HRA AGENDA. <br /> COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Consider Consent Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER HINKLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> • 3.1a. 7/28/97 HRA MINUTES-APPROVED <br /> 3.1 b. 8/12/97 JOINT HRA/PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES-APPROVED <br /> 3.2. CHECK REGISTER-APPROVED <br /> COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 4. Open Mike <br /> No one present for this item. <br /> 5.1. 1998 Budaet <br /> Executive Director Paul Steinman referred the Commission to his memo regarding <br /> the proposed expenditures for the 1998 budget. He indicated that one of the <br /> significant changes in the budget lie in the personal services category which is <br /> new to the HRA budget. This is due to reapportioning some of the salaries, <br /> benefits, and overtime pay from other budgets to cover a portion of the <br /> executive director's salary and to cover the cost of minute taking at regular HRA <br /> meetings. <br /> Paul Steinman indicated the other major line items under Other Services and <br /> Charges include a budget for legal expenses, money for a possible market study <br /> for the central business district, repaying the King and Main loan, and marketing <br /> the King and Main property. <br /> • <br />
