• MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER <br /> HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br /> MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2001 <br /> Members Present: Commissioners Thompson, Toth, Motin and Wilson (5:15 pm) <br /> Members Absent: Commissioner Huntington <br /> Staff Present: Cathy Mehelich, Executive Director; Marc Nevinski Assistant <br /> Director of Economic Development; Pat Klaers, City Administrator; <br /> Terry Maurer, City Engineer; and Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br /> 1. Call Meeting To Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Housing and <br /> Redevelopment Authority was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chair Toth. <br /> 2. Consider February 26, 2001 HRA Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER MOTIN MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 26, 2001, HRA <br /> AGENDA AS PRESENTED. COMMISSIONER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> • THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 3. Consider Consent Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER MOTIN MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 3.1. February 20, 2001 HRA MINUTES-APPROVED <br /> 3.2. CHECK REGISTER-APPROVED <br /> COMMISSIONER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 4. Open Mike <br /> There was no one present for Open Mike. <br /> 5. Consider Funding of Downtown Sidewalk Replacement Proiect <br /> City Engineer Terry Maurer reviewed the feasibility study for the downtown <br /> sidewalk replacement project. He noted that the report indicates an assessable <br /> cost of$58,500 which is paid by a 50%per unit cost plus a 50%front foot cost. He <br /> indicated that the estimated total project cost is$290,100. <br /> Cliff Lundberg indicated that the$58,500 is higher than was originally proposed. It <br /> was the consensus of the HRA Commissioners that$58,500 was a fair amount to <br /> assess at 20%of the total project. <br /> • Commissioner Wilson arrived at this time (5:15 p.m.) <br /> COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND THAT THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ASSESS $58,500 TO THE PROPERTY OWNERS FOR THE DOWNTOWN SIDEWALK <br />
