The Property was acquired with funds from the Outdoor Heritage Fund with the <br />express purpose of being managed as high quality native habitat for wildlife. <br />In order to stay within the parameters of the acquisition agreement, the farm house needs to be removed. <br />The city advertised a notice of Request for Proposals (RFP) for the removal of the farm house. <br />The public notice RFP was advertised in the local newspaper. Only one proposal was submitted by the <br />deadline of May 1, 2015. The proposal by Rolfe Anderson met all of the specifications as outlined in the <br />RFP. <br />Financial Impact <br />Once the farm house is removed at no cost to the city, the city will be responsible for the basement walls, <br />garage floor and any plumbing left outside the basement wall.
