V IU <br />Ordinance 14 - is <br />l e%-hs to be removed <br />Underlines to be added <br />An Ordinance Amending Section, 34 -32, Chief of Police, of the City of Elk River, <br />Minnesota, City Code <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: <br />SECTION 1. That § 34 -32, Chief of Police of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be <br />amended to read as follows: <br />The chief of police shall have supervision and control of the police department and its members. <br />The chief of police shall be responsible for law enforcement and for property of the city used by the <br />department. The chief of police shall be responsible for the proper training and discipline of the <br />members of the department. Further, the chief of police shall be responsible for the keeping of <br />adequate records and shall report on the needs of the department and its work. Every member of <br />the department subordinate to the chief of police shall obey the instructions of the chief of police <br />and any superior officer. The assistant hief deli ated 12ohce captain shall have all the powers and <br />duties of the chief of police during his absence or disability. <br />SECTION 2.
