MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER <br /> HERITAGE PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br /> S HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br /> THURSDAY, APRIL 13,2000 <br /> Members Present: Kurt Kragness, Cindy Olson, James Nord, and Bruce Penner <br /> Members Absent: Bud Houlton, Pat Rassmusson, and Bob Nickerson <br /> Staff Present: Stephen Rohlf <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Heritage <br /> Preservation Commission(HPC) was called to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider 4/13/00 HPC Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER OLSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE APRIL 13,2000 <br /> AGENDA. <br /> COMMISSIONER NORD SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> • 3. Consider Minutes of the March 16, 2000 HPC Meeting <br /> AN OFFICIAL MEETING OF THE HPC WAS NOT HELD ON THIS <br /> DATE DUE TO A LACK OF A QUORUM OF HPC COMMISSIONERS <br /> AND CONSEQUENTLY NO MINUTES WERE TAKEN. <br /> 4. Ordinances <br /> The various City of Elk River Ordinances that apply to the HPC were briefly <br /> discussed. It was pointed out that the city had input from the State Historic <br /> Preservation Office when these ordinances were written to ensure they contain <br /> what is needed so the City of Elk River qualifies to be a Certified Local <br /> Government(CLG). <br /> 5. Discuss Future Meeting Dates <br /> It was the consensus of those present that the HPC will meet on the second <br /> Thursday of each month, starting at 6:30 p.m., at Elk River City Hall. <br /> 6. Discuss Heritage Preservation Week—May 15 through 19 <br /> It was decided that the HPC will reserve a room at the library on Tuesday, May <br /> 16th as a way to introduce the HPC to the community. The following <br /> responsibilities for this event were delegated: <br />
