Kurt Kragness—Reserve the room at the library, provide lemonade, provide <br /> historic picture of Elk River and work with the library on how to display them, <br /> 1111 and contact the El River Star News regarding an article on the event. <br /> Cindy Olson—Coffee, cookies, provide Elk River memorabilia, and a sign-up <br /> sheet for those interested in aiding the HPC. <br /> Bruce Penner—Paper and Styrofoam cups. <br /> Bob Nickerson—Historic slide show presentation. <br /> Bud Houlton—Was not at the meeting, but Kurt Kragness will talk to him about <br /> providing historic pictures. <br /> Pat Rasmusson—Not present. <br /> Jim Nord—Will look into getting historic picture. <br /> Stephen Rohlf—Provide 1888 plat map and a brief written history of Elk River to <br /> hand out. <br /> Since there is another HPC meeting before this event, it was decided that the final <br /> details will be discussed then. <br /> • 7. Discuss Certified Local Government Status (CLG) <br /> Bruce Penner researched the State's requirements for the city to become a CLG. <br /> He indicated that a letter from the highest elected official of the city (the Mayor) <br /> requesting CLG status, copies of the city's ordinances relating to the HPC, and <br /> resumes from all HPC members are required. <br /> HPC members are requested to submit a resume that demonstrates interest and/or <br /> expertise in historic preservation. At least two members must be preservation <br /> related professionals (Kurt Kragness, Sherburne County Historian; and Bruce <br /> Penner, Archeologist). <br /> 8. Items on next agenda <br /> It was the consensus of the group that the next agenda include: master plan for <br /> HPC, review of items on next Planning Commission Agenda, and May 16th <br /> presentation at the library. <br />
