Land Use Cases <br /> 1. Park in Trott Brook Farms <br /> Grading continues in Trott Brook Farms around the park. They continue to take <br /> care in their activities around the park area. Sanitary sewer and water utilities have <br /> been installed near the entry and in the southwest corner of the property. We <br /> anticipate issuing the first building permit for an 8-unit building located near the old <br /> farm entry drive soon. <br /> • <br /> B. Park/Trail Developments <br /> 1. Sidewalk Extension— VandenBerge <br /> Commissioner Westrum expressed a need for a connection from the VandenBerge <br /> sidewalk to the County Road 1 trail at the August meeting. We are investigating this <br /> connection and hope to have further information at the meeting. <br /> 2. Baldwin Township Railroad Trail <br /> Commissioner Westrum also expressed interest in the continuation of the railroad <br /> trail into Baldwin Township. Staff spoke with Ron Burley who is working with the <br /> Sherburne County's Park Commission to extend the railroad trail north of the City's <br /> corporate border to Princeton. There is 11 1/2 miles of trail to be constructed to make <br /> the connection. Most of the vacated right of way is in private ownership, however, a <br /> number of miles are in public ownership: <br /> • Railroad: 3 miles <br /> • Princeton: 1 mile <br /> • Zimmerman: 1 mile <br /> • • Baldwin: % mile <br /> The task force in charge of the railroad trail has been meeting with landowners <br /> along the corridor, collecting thoughts and comments, convincing them a trail is a <br /> 13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
