Attachments • Chart— Land Dedication Amounts, St. Cloud Study • Bid Summary Park Dedication We received the information collected by DSU for the St. Cloud park dedication study, which was cancelled by St. Cloud. Based on a review of the information, St. Cloud must be in the process of establishing a new or revising an old policy. Very little information was useful for the discussion of fee amounts. Attached is a comparison of land dedication amounts that the Commission may find useful. It is my understanding that the park dedication fees were recently increased to the current level. As with any expense, costs will go up with inflation each year. In good markets, as the current labor market, costs have increased dramatically due to labor cost as opposed to material cost increases. The Commission may want to consider a policy in which the fees are increased a minimum of 5% or to the next even $100 increment each year or every other year. For the current fees, the park fee would increase to $1,155 or $1,200, depending on what the commission selects. Trail fees would increase to $210. Or they could be considered together, in which case the increase would be to $1,365 or $1,400. There is any number of variables to consider, but they should be increased slightly on an annual basis in order to continue to cover costs. The Commission, at an annual review of fees could recommend a larger increase based on changes in market, park development goals, or other factors. • 13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
