Minutes of the Sherburne/Wright County Cable Commission <br /> Thursday,January 16, 2014, 1:00 p.m. <br /> Rockford Public Works Meeting Room <br /> Present: Interim Chair Tina Allard, and Commissioners Mert Auger,Jim Bart, Terry Boese <br /> (arrived at 1:20 p.m.), Nancy Carswell, Linda Hruby, Phil Kern, Gina <br /> Wolbeck, and Lee Ann Yager. <br /> Absent: Commissioners Don Levens and Cathy Shuman. <br /> Also present: Technology Consultant Bill Bruce, Attorney Bob Vose, and Video Production <br /> Coordinator Mark Davis. <br /> 1. Call to Order <br /> Interim Chair Tina Allard called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes- October 3, 2013 - Tabled until next meeting. <br /> 3. Treasurer's Report <br /> Mert Auger presented the financial statements as outlined in the staff report. <br /> Commissioner Kern motioned to approve the Financial Statements as presented. <br /> Seconded by Commissioner Hruby, unanimous ayes, motion carried. <br /> 4. Attorney's Report <br /> Commission Attorney Bob Vose informed the Commission that the Statewide Franchising <br /> Legislation most likely won't come back to the Legislature. Vose also provided information <br /> on Carver County's efforts to provide competitive video services, discussed the options to <br /> go Hi Def or All Digital, reviewed whether or not franchise transfers would be needed for <br /> Liberty Media and Time Warner, and discussed Netflix and Apple industries. <br /> 5. Equipment Report <br /> Bill Bruce presented the equipment report. Bruce also discussed the SWTV website, the <br /> illustrated home page, and the more traditional SWCC website. Bruce also discussed <br /> upcoming video projects, Movie in the Park events, the video store, the production trailer <br /> break in, winter equipment repairs, cable and power access panels, the projector install in <br /> Monticello, the Delano Twitter Project, Watertown dais remodel changes, changes to <br /> sympodium laptop interfaces, remote access in Big Lake and Maple Lake, and HD <br /> equipment upgrades. <br /> 6. Programming Report <br /> Mark Davis presented the programming report. Davis discussed sporting event video <br /> tapings, the status of City Works, Holiday production events, community health topics that <br /> will be added to sites, upcoming candidate forums, and categorizing recordings that will go <br /> on the website. <br />
