The permit will run for two years from 8/31/02 - <br />8/31/04. <br /> <br />APPLICANT <br /> <br />Elks River Lion's Club <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City's ordinance requires that 75% of the laxvful purpose expenditures must be spent <br />within the City's trade area. The trade area for Elk River consists of the cities of Elk River, <br />Ramsey, Otsego, Rogers, and Zimmerman. The attached chart shows that the amount spent <br />in the trade area during the years 2000 and 2001 exceeded the required 75%. <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br /> <br />Council motion adopting the attached resolution approving a premises permit for the Elk <br />River Lion's Club to conduct lawful charitable gambling at Broadway Bar and Pizza located <br />at 16754 Highway 10. <br /> <br /> <br />
