Call Meeting To Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority Special Meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Chair Wilson. <br />2. Consider December 12 , 2011 HRA Special Meeting Agenda <br />MOVED BY COMMISSIONER TOTH AND SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER LIESER TO APPROVE THE DECEMBER 12, 2011 HRA <br />SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA AS PRESENTED. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br />3. Consider Consent Agenda <br />MOVED BY COMMISSIONER LIESER AND SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER TOTH TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />3.1. Consider Contract with Veit and Companyfor the Demolition and Removal of 716 and720 <br />Main Street, Elk River, MN <br />Ms. Deckert reviewed the history of the purchase of the 716 and 720 Main Street buildings <br />in 2006. She noted that the HRA's intent in purchasing the property was to provide future <br />expanded parking in the downtown. She reviewed the events leading up to the "red tagging" <br />of the 720 Main Street building on September 23~; the decision to demolish both buildings, <br />and the bidding process. Staff recommends approval of the bid in the amount of $59,600 <br />from Veit and Company. Ms. Deckert stated that upon approval, Veit will move forward <br />with the project immediately. Staff anticipates demolition to be completed by January 5th. <br />Ms. Deckert noted that Elk River Meats is closed for business December 25~ through <br />
