Per HRA direction, staff will <br />research options for the site and will return to the HRA at a later date for discussion. Ms. <br />Deckert stated that the HRA should also consider a budget amendment in the amount of <br />$59,600 to the Building Repair/Maintenance line item from the HRA fund balance to cover <br />the cost of the project. <br />Commissioner Lieser asked if the site would be finished with gravel, until a decision is made <br />as to howthe site will be used. Randy Schumacher, project manager representing Veit, <br />stated explained howthe site would be filled and finished. Commissioner Toth asked where <br />the fill will come from, and whether or not it would be more cost-effective to utilize city <br />staff and fill, if it is available. Mr. Schumacher explained the contractor will determine where <br />the fill will come from, and that it would be more cost-effective for the contractor to <br />provide the fill, since the drivers will be bringing in fill and hauling out demolition materials, <br />thereby avoiding "empty' loads. <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER TOTH AND SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER LIESER TO APPROVE THE CONTRACT WITH VEIT <br />AND COMPANY FOR THE DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF THE 716 <br />AND 720 MAIN STREET BUILDINGS IN THE AMOUNT OF $59,600. <br />MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER TOTH AND SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER LIESER TO APPROVE A BUDGET AMENDMENT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $59,600 TO THE BUILDING REPAIR/MAINTENANCE <br />LINE ITEM, FROM THE HRA BUND BALANCE TO COVER THE COST <br />OF THE REMOVAL OF THE 716 AND 720 MAIN STREET BUILDINGS. <br />MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br />6.
