The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Hinkle. <br /> <br />2 . Agenda <br /> <br />Item 4~ - Jack Boarman - City Facilities, was added to the February 11, 1985 City <br />Council Agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 11, 1985 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS <br />AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 21, 1985 CITY COUN- <br />CIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />CQUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 4, 1985 CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />Open Mike <br /> <br />No one appeared for this item. <br /> <br />Jack Boarman - City Facilities <br /> <br />Jack Boarman indicated that the City Council had given him direction to propose <br />possible solutions to the City Hall facility and the public works garage that <br />would bring the total cost within $995,000. Mr. Jack Boarman indicated that he <br />was submitting four cost options for the City Council to review and discuss. Mr. <br />Boarman indicated that the first option was the remodeling of the City Hall with <br />the reduction of the overall new building area by approximately 2,000 square feet. <br />Mr. Boarman further indicated that the first option proposed that the addition on <br />the side be eliminated, therefore this would provide a reduction in the total <br />cost of the project. Mr. Boarman indicated that in the first option, the public <br />works garage would remain the same size at 12,000 square feet at a cost of $284,000. <br />Mr. Boarman indicated tEat in that $284,000 there would be less site work, that is, <br />more gravel, less blacktop artd approximately 2/3 of the equipment as originally <br />proposed. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Boarman indicated that the second option proposed is the construction of <br />a new building on the old site with approximately 1,000 square feel reduction in <br />the total space. Mr. Boarman further indicated that in the second option, the <br />public works garage was reduced in size by approximately 2,000 square feet and <br />a cost of approximately $30,000. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Boarman indicated that the third option would provide a new building on a <br />new site, specifically the Houlton property with the assumption that there would <br /> <br />~ <br />
