FEBRUARY 10. 1986 <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Hinkle. Councilmembers Gunkel. Schuldt. <br />Williams and Engstrom <br /> <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br /> <br />Tom Bublitzj City Administrator. Tom Zerwasj Police <br />Chief and Phil Halsj Street Superintendent <br /> <br />1. The Elk River City Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Hinkle at <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Agenda <br /> <br />4A Equipment <br />Gambling License <br />the agenda. <br /> <br />Purchase. 6B - Planning Commission Applications. 6C - <br />Application and 6C - Kuhn Property were items added to <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA AS AMENDED. <br />THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 10. 1986 CITY <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consideration of February 3. 1986 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />Councilmember Gunkel noted that the second sentence in the second <br />paragraph on page two should be clarified by adding "which would leave <br />28.8 assessable units." <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 3. 1986 CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />4. Presentation by City Administrator from Big Lake/Lowering Lake Levels <br /> <br />Bill King. City Administrator and Ronald Bolin. Mayor from the City of <br />Big Lake presented the City Council with the project they are undergoing <br />which will lower the water level of two of their main lakes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Engstrom questioned whether the project would cause the <br />Elk River to raise in the City of Elk River. Bill King indicated he was <br />almost certain this would not occur. but indicated if it should. and the <br />City of Elk River felt it was from Big Lake's project. they would be <br />happy to send their engineer over to see if. in fact. Big Lake is <br />responsible and have the matter corrected. <br />
