e e e REGULAR MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL MONDAY. FEBRUARY 10. 1986 MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Hinkle. Councilmembers Gunkel. Schuldt. Williams and Engstrom MEMBERS ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Tom Bublitzj City Administrator. Tom Zerwasj Police Chief and Phil Halsj Street Superintendent 1. The Elk River City Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Hinkle at 7:30 p.m. 2. Agenda 4A Equipment Gambling License the agenda. Purchase. 6B - Planning Commission Applications. 6C - Application and 6C - Kuhn Property were items added to COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED COUNCIL AGENDA AS AMENDED. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 10. 1986 CITY COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. 3. Consideration of February 3. 1986 City Council Minutes Councilmember Gunkel noted that the second sentence in the second paragraph on page two should be clarified by adding "which would leave 28.8 assessable units." COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 3. 1986 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. 4. Presentation by City Administrator from Big Lake/Lowering Lake Levels Bill King. City Administrator and Ronald Bolin. Mayor from the City of Big Lake presented the City Council with the project they are undergoing which will lower the water level of two of their main lakes. Councilmember Engstrom questioned whether the project would cause the Elk River to raise in the City of Elk River. Bill King indicated he was almost certain this would not occur. but indicated if it should. and the City of Elk River felt it was from Big Lake's project. they would be happy to send their engineer over to see if. in fact. Big Lake is responsible and have the matter corrected.
