e e e MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL HELD AT HANDKE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MONDAY. NOVEMBER 2. 1987 I Members Present: Mayor Gunkel. Councilmembers Schuldt. Tralle. Dobel. Councilmember Holmgren arrived at 7:06 p.m. Members Absent: None Staff Present: Pat Klaers. City Administrator; David Sellergren. City Attorney; and Terry Maurer. City Engineer. 1. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Gunkel. 2. Consideration of 11/2/87 City Council Agenda Item 7A - Business Expo was added to the agenda COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 11/2/87 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4- O. 3. Consideration of 10/26/87 City Council Minutes COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 10/26/87 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. COUNCILMEMBERDOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4- O. 4. Open Mike No one appeared for this item. 5. Main Street Improvements/Public Hearing Mayor Gunkel explained that the people notified for this public hearing are people with front footage on Main Street. Jackson and Proctor Avenue. The public hearing is for the purpose of informing the residents of the improvements which include sanitary sewer. watermain. street and storm drainage. Mayor Gunkel explained that this public hearing will be continued for the purpose of discussing downtown beautification and sanitary sewer assessments for properties not abutting the street improvement. She further noted that properties affected by sanitary sewer assessments and not abutting the street improvement have not been notified of tonights meeting. however. they will be notified of the upcoming December 7. 1987. continued public hearing. Councilmember Holmgren arrived at this time.
