Call Meeting To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 8:20 p.m. by Mayor Tralle. <br /> <br />2. Consider 12/14/92 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />Item 4.2., was moved to Item 2.1. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE 12/14/92 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />2.1. Consider Purchase of Fire Department Pagers <br /> <br />Russ Anderson, Fire Chief, indicated that as requested by the City <br />Council, he has researched other cities in regard to pagers. He stated <br />that it is the policy of most fire departments to purchase their pagers <br />rather than to lease them. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dietz suggested that Chief Anderson plan for the need to <br />purchase pagers in the future by putting money away in a reserve fund <br />for this purpose. <br /> <br />The City Administrator <br />and the likely source <br />Contingency fund. <br /> <br />stated that this purchase is not in the budget <br />of funding would be the 1993 City Council <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF TEN PAGERS FOR THE <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Public Hearing/Consideration of 1993 General Fund Budget and 1993 <br />Final Tax Levy <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator, indicated that a public hearing on the <br />City's tax levy and General Fund budget is required by the Truth in <br />Taxation Law. He indicated that following the August and September <br />budget worksessions, the City Council adopted a proposed a maximum levy <br />and budget. The proposed maximum balanced budget is in the amount of <br />
