Zerwas, Chief of Police <br /> <br />January 6, 2000 <br /> <br /> POLICE ACADEMY <br /> <br />The Elk River Police Department will be conducting a Citizen Police <br />Academy during the months of February, March, and April. This <br />Citizen Academy will include topics on patrol functions, <br />investigations, D.AR.E., Crime Free Multi Housing, defensive tactics, <br />information on our police reserves, and several other topics. <br /> <br />Thc Citizen Academy concept has been conducted in numerous <br />Minnesota cities and the Sherburne County Sheriff's Department. <br />has been received very well by citizens who have attended. <br /> <br />It <br /> <br />This academy fits very well with our requirement for our C.O.P.S. <br />FAST grants that require us to increase the interaction between police <br />and our citizens.
