MEETING OF ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD <br />HELD AT ELK RIVER LIBRARY <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2011 <br />Board Members Present: Jayne Dietz, Nicole Novotny, Kathleen Tracy, Willie Jackson, Aaron Ziegler <br />Board Members Absent: N/A <br />Others Present: Mick Stoffers, Branch Manager; Brandi Canter-GRRL Regional Coordinator; Nick <br />Zerwas, City Council Board Liaison; Clay W ilfahrt from Elk River Economic Development; Jamie <br />Trenom-Great River Regional Supervisor for Central Branches <br />I . Call Meetine to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Public Library Board was <br />called to order at 6:33 p.m. by Board Chair Jayne Dietz. <br />It was determined a quorum was present <br />2. Guest Speaker- Clay Wilfahrt -Elk River Economic Development <br />Clay spoke of Elk River's new branding process, and how the brand will be used. <br />Clay is seeking a "private sector brand champions team" for non-city agencies to begin using the <br />Elk River logo Powered by Nature consistently, and make it ubiquitous in the community. He <br />also spoke of the need to build auser-friendly community experience aligned with the Brand. <br />There is more information on the brand at powercdbynature.blor.~.com <br />Brandi Canter spoke of the guidelines related to use of Social Media by Great River Branches. <br />3. Consider September 27, 201 1 Library Board Agenda. <br />Kathleen Tracy MOVED AND Willie Jackson SECONDED TO APPROVE THE <br />AGENDA AS PRESENTED. MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br />4. Consider Secretary's Report <br />Kathleen Tracy MOVED AND Willie Jackson SECONDED TO APPROVE THE <br />MEETING MINUTES FROM THE SEPTEMBER 27, 2011 MEETING AS PRESENTED. <br />MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br />5. Consider September 27, 201 1 Treasurer's Report <br />Aaron Ziegler MOVED AND Jayne Dietz SECONDED TO APPROVE THE <br />TREASURER'S REPORT AND FINANCIALS FROM THE SEPTEMBER AND <br />OCTOBER MONTH TO DATE AND YEAR TO DATE FINANCIALS AS PRESENTED. <br />MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br />6.
