There are no known natural, scenic, or historic features of major importance with the proposed expansion. Historic and Archaeological Features. The Minnesota State Historic Preservation (SHPO) was contacted regarding archaeological and historical features as part ofthe preparation of the EAS/EIS for a larger expansion. SHPO concluded that no properties within the proposed larger expansion were listed on the National or State Registers of 1-Iistoric Places and that no known or suspected archaeological properties in the area will be affected by the proposed expansion. Oak Wilt Prevention. As a method to prevent oak wilt, the ERL will not conduct airy tree removal operations at the landfill property between April 15 and July 1 ~ each year. In addition, oak stumps will be removed prior to April 1.5 each year. When removing trees and stumps, the ERL will prevent damage to remaining trees. 7.
