Conceptual approval enables the Riverfront <br />Committee, city staff, and Hoisington the opportunity to further define <br />the plans and refine the costs and pursue potential funding sources - <br />such as an ISTEA grant, etc. <br />Since the August 28 HRA meeting, the following organizations have <br />reviewed the plans: <br />September 12, 1995 Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce <br />Board of Directors Meeting <br />September 12, 1995 Elk River Municipal Utilities <br />Commission Meeting <br />September 13, 1995 Park and Recreation. Commission <br />Meeting <br />September 26, 1995 Elk River Planning Commission <br />Meeting <br />In addition, the three art boards which comprise the concept plans <br />• were displayed at various .times at the three banks in downtown Elk <br />River. The concept plans appeared in the respective lobbies of First <br />Bank, The Bank of Elk River, and First National Bank of Elk River. <br />The HRA public hearing notice was published in the Star News in the <br />September 20 edition. The September 20 edition also included the <br />City Council public hearing notice. <br />Riverfront Corridor Committee Chair Jim Tralle will be in attendance <br />at the HRA hearing to present background information on the public <br />workshops and initial designs developed by Hosington Koegler. Mr. <br />Michael Schroeder and Mr. Paul Paige of Hoisington Koegler will also <br />be in attendance to provide specific details on the concept plans, which <br />include: <br />• Pedestrian walk <br />• Bicycle/in-line path <br />• Nuts and bolts fountain area at the Main Street level of the <br />EDA redevelopment site <br />• Amphitheater area <br />• Bandstand <br />• Dock <br />• Pavilion area at the end of King Avenue <br />
