Conceptual work on the Mississippi Riverfront Pathway Project has progressed to a point where preliminary approval is required of the pions that exist to date. The need for conceptual approval of the plans is also consistent with the break. point in the HRA's contract for services with the project's consultant, Hosington Koegler Group, Inc. That is, in order for design work to continue in a more detailed and precise manner,. it is necessary to gain HRA and City Council: approval of the concept plans. Satisfactory approval of the plans that ea-ist to date will enable both the Riverfront Corridor Committee and Hoisington Koegler Group to continue refining the plans and more accurately determining overall costs. For a more detailed review of the current point of the Hosington contract the HRA has reached, please refer to a copy of the contract which is included in the agenda packet. The HRA has reached the end of "phase one" -steps one through four. Conceptual approval enables the HR,A to enter "phase two", or step five, of the contract and on to "phase three", or step six of the contract.. Estimated. costs for phase two and three, consistent with HRA action of June 5, are $12,389 (plus expenses).
